Welcome to the IES guestbook!
We are interested to know what our theme, Cultivating a Sense of Place, means to you.

  1. For me, a sense of place is emotional, comprehensive ‘knowing’

  2. I really like being able to look at the new Internet maps, like Google Earth and Maps, of places where I have been, to see if anyone has uploaded pictures or other information they want to share. I want to learn how to do this myself.

  3. To me, Sense of Place is the attachment that each individual feels to their surroundings. Not only can sense of place be a connection to nature, but a connection to a certain culture or way of life as well.

  4. sense of place means we respect what we have and understand it is unique
