Peter Palmer is currently AgriMet program manager for the Bureau of Reclamation’s Pacific Northwest regional office in Boise, Idaho. AgriMet is a network of automated weather stations in the Pacific Northwest that collect the data required to model evapotranspiration, or crop consumptive water use. Before coming to Reclamation in 1997, Peter was program manager for the USDA Snow Survey and Water Supply Forecast Program in Boise, Idaho. Peter has a masters degree in physical geography from the University of Colorado, and a batchelor’s degree in physical geography from Western Carolina University.
