Laura Laumatia is a graduate student in the Bioregional Planning Program, as well as the University of Idaho Extension Educator for the Coeur d’Alene Reservation, where she has been leading programming in the areas of youth, community development, and agriculture and natural resources since 2004.
She has also been serving as the community coach for the Coeur d’Alene Reservation Horizons program. Prior to her employment with UI, she worked in Extension for six years in the territory of American Samoa. She also served as a youth development volunteer and science teacher in Samoa as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer.
