Jonathan Oppenheimer is a Senior Conservation Associate with the Idaho Conservation League. His work focuses on forest, fire, roadless, wildlife and other public lands-related issues.
He is a member of the Western Governors’ Association’s Forest Health Advisory Committee that developed the 10-Year Comprehensive Wildfire Strategy and Implementation Plan. He also serves on the Inland Northwest Stewardship Contracting Monitoring Team, and is a member of the Clearwater Basin Collaborative.
Before moving to Idaho, he worked on Forest Service budget issues at Taxpayers for Common Sense, a government watchdog group in Washington, DC. Jonathan has been written a number of reports on forest, fire and budget policy issues. He is a graduate of the University of Montana School of Forestry.
