Jeff Adams, the Regional Planner for Blaine County, received his PhD
from the University of London’s London Consortium, with an emphasis on
how communities form consensus. He has researched and written in
sustainable planning & design, and was an awarding-winning member of the
Army Corps of Engineers’ military housing ‘Green Team’ in the early
nineties. Since coming to Blaine County he has been instrumental in
implementing the County’s Idaho Smart Growth’s award winning work for
outreach in Blaine 2025’s rewriting of the zoning and subdivision code,
founding the Office of Regional Planning, and initiating a teaching and
training program for summer internships with Wood River High School for
planning and GIS mapping. His goals are to bring long-range planning to
the daily workings of inter-governmental cooperation and coordination in
achieving a common vision.
