Hannah Sanger is the Environmental Educator for the City of Pocatello, focusing primarily on storm water education and outreach. She joined the city in August of this year, having spent many years as an environmental educator with a variety of non-profits and K-16 institutions.

Her recent work as Director of the Portneuf Greenway Foundation focused on extending the miles of Greenway trails throughout Pocatello (through fundraising and partnership building), and working with local government to revise the Portneuf Greenway Masterplan to allow for better integration of Greenway Trails with new development. Additionally, Hannah worked as Coordinator of Idaho State University’s Graduate Students in K-12 Education Program (which partnered graduate students in the sciences and engineering with K-12 teachers for a year). One focus of this program was fostering sustainable relationships between local K-12 teachers and scientists/engineers at Idaho State University.

Prior to coming to Idaho in 2004, Hannah received her MS in Environmental Education and MA in Curriculum Development (U. Michigan), where she was the recipient of the Bill Stapp Award for Environmental Education. She also spent many years as an environmental educator with a variety of Nature Centers, Summer Camps, and Outdoor Education programs.
